Celebrating 15 years in business.

When I think of all that’s happened since I founded this firm in 2003, the journey has been everything I could have dreamed of – and so much more! You have been an important and special part of this journey. This anniversary is especially poignant for me, as the woman who inspired me to take the leap and start my own business – my mother, Elvira F. Bruno, passed away in October 2017. She was a trailblazer in every sense of the word: an amazing wife of 61 years to my Dad; a mother and grandmother; a woman of great faith and a highly successful independent real estate business owner for over 40 years. I dedicate this anniversary to my mother. I am especially grateful to my mom for the example she set, the barriers she overcame, the path that she created and most importantly the life she gave to me.

This wonderful milestone would not have been possible, without you – our colleagues, clients, friends and family. We have truly enjoyed these 15 years. You have given us the opportunity to contribute to your organizations and careers in ways that we could have only dreamed about when we decided to incorporate. As we envision the future of People Strategies, Inc. we look forward to continuing our many long-standing client relationships and we look forward to establishing new client relationships. We thank all of you and applaud the amazing work you are doing in your lives, careers and organizations. We welcome the opportunity to being part of them in the next 15 years!

Here are a few highlights of the past 15 years and the work we have been privileged to do with many of you:

  • Advising many CEOs, Executive Management teams and Boards on strategic organizational development and change initiatives including a recent organizational realignment project for a global Foundation whose mission is to improve the well-being of humanity around the world and who just celebrated their 105th year;
  • Assessing the human resources function, programs and practices and creating a strategic Human Capital Management plan and an organizational roadmap for the new Chief Human Resources Officer. This enabled them to develop the first strategic Human Resources function for this 100-year-old global non-profit whose mission is to connect and empower women to effect change through advocacy, and advance women’s health and well-being;
  • Creating and implementing the first growth strategy and the associated incentive compensation plan for a 100-year old non-profit organization that serves ministers and missionaries, this included working with their Board to develop new governance policies and practices;
  • Establishing the Human Resources function, programs and practices including all of the employee benefits, compensation and payroll platforms for a newly-acquired energy company with over 200 employees covered by a union with a specific collective bargaining unit;
  • Building the first strategic development plan and a strategic growth plan for an organization that teaches children the skills and values of the game of baseball;
  • Partnering with the top Communications, Marketing, Government Relations and Economic Development executives at an institution of higher education to develop their ongoing strategic plans for their team by assessing the needs of her key clients and the skills of her team;
  • Leading the on-boarding process for a new Chief Human Resources Officer and conducting an assessment of their entire U.S. based Human Resources staff, initiatives and organizational structure for a privately-held dermatological pharmaceutical company which lead to the development of their US Human Resources strategic plan;
  • Coaching and creating a leadership development strategic action plan for executives across multiple industries: accounting and finance, real estate, healthcare, non-profits and institutions of higher education;
